If you are owned by a cat, you are well aware that a trip to the veterinarian can be a very stressful event. It starts with the sight of the carrier and the immediate dash to a place that you cannot possibly reach the cat. Once you have coaxed your feline friend to come out, then it is into the dreaded carrier. How, in the blink of an eye, can an average size cat make herself so large as to not possibly fit into the extra large travel carrier that you sure would have plenty of room and comfort for a trip to the vet? The car ride can be somewhat distressing as well. Crying out to all the passersby, asking for someone to just offer a bit of help out of this box and car, from the minute you leave the house. However, what can be most scary is landing in the waiting room and being surrounded by barking dogs, screaming birds, and other pets waiting for their turn to see the veterinarian. We can't change the stress involved with the carrier or the car ride, but what we can change is the environment here at Windhover. That is where Feline Fridays come in.

One Friday a month from 5 pm to 8 pm we will see ONLY CATS at our practice. The music will be soothing, the air will be filled with pleasant scents that are proven to help calm and relax. We will offer an abundance of items exclusively for our feline clients.
